What is a line cutter used for?
A line cutter is a small blade or ceramic notch for braid and mono. Clip it on a zinger; do not hunt the scissors.
How is a line cutter different from similar gear?
Cut only — not pliers that also cut. Safer in a boat than a folding knife on a bouncing deck.
When should you use a line cutter?
Use it for every retie, especially braid that laughs at cheap scissors.
What problems does a line cutter solve?
It makes a clean cut so the next knot seats instead of fraying into a pigtail.
