Which fishing electronics do you need?
Most anglers need one device, not all of them. Start with the job you need done:
- Fish finder: shows depth, bottom and fish under a boat or kayak. The first upgrade for boat anglers.
- GPS or chartplotter: marks spots and routes on big water and at sea. A chartplotter adds charts.
- Bite alarm: sounds when the line moves, for carp and night fishing on still water.
- Underwater camera: shows the bottom and the fish in clear, shallow water.
- Water temperature meter: tells you when fish switch on. Pair it with the hourly fishing forecast on each spot.
