What is a spod used for?
A spod is an open-ended bait rocket you cast to fill a swim with particles and boilies. Carp and feeder work.
How is a spod different from similar gear?
Open tube with a buoyant nose that tips and dumps on landing — not a sealed spomb. Some bait can spill in flight.
When should you use a spod?
Use it to bait a clip at range when a throwing stick will not reach, or when you want a wider spread of feed.
What problems does a spod solve?
It puts a bed of feed past catapult range without a boat.
