Lagoa do Pau Pique is a volcanic crater lake in the Maciço das Sete Cidades, at 700 m elevation. It fishes still, with temperatures from 15.4 °C in February to 23 °C in August. Common carp peak from June to September on bottom fishing, while Northern pike peak in May and September–October with spinning.
