Lake Engure lies in the Gulf of Riga, bounded by the Engure Spit. It is a shallow coastal lake with an average depth of 0.4 m, flushed by the Mērsrags Canal. Northern pike peak May, Sep–Oct on spinning, trolling; European perch peak May–Jun, Sep–Oct on spinning, jigging.
