Lielupe flows into the Gulf of Riga from the Bauska confluence of Mēmele and Mūsa. It fishes as a navigable river with cold to temperate waters, from 3.2 °C in January to 19.9 °C in July. Northern pike peak May, September–October on spinning, trolling.
